This report is based on information submitted by the Prior Lake Police Department for responses between August 1 – 5. All calls for service may not be included; all subjects arrested and named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
August 1
Fraud: Police were called at 10:34 a.m. to a residence on Jeffers Court to investigate a report of fraud. The case is pending processing.
Traffic: At 2:45 p.m., police located the owner of a boat parked on West Oak Point Drive and told the party it was in violation of the city’s ordinance and it needed to be moved.
Accident: Police received a report at 5:19 p.m. of an accident that had occurred at the intersection of 140th Street and Pike Lake Trail. The reporting party said she had witnessed the minor accident between two vehicles and could provide information if needed.
Suspicious Activity: A call was placed to police at 9:32 p.m. from a person living on Brougham Boulevard. The resident said someone had knocked on the front door and attempted to make entry. Upon arrival, officers checked the exterior of the home but did not observe anything suspicious. No damage was observed to the door. The resident was told additional patrols would be made in the neighborhood during the night.
August 2
Traffic Criminal: A 34-year-old Prior Lake resident was arrested for third degree DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of .08 or more within two hours and third degree DWI operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to obey a traffic control device and expired registration. The incident occurred at 1:14 a.m. on Flandreau Trail.
Medical: Police were flagged down at 8:93 a.m. to assist a woman who had fallen on the sidewalk near Highway 13 and 160th Street. She was seen by medical personnel but refused a transport. Police gave her a ride back to her home. Other medical calls were received on this day with times and locations noted as follows: Mystic Lake Road, 1:28 a.m.; Main Avenue, 8:24 a.m.; Gateway Street, 10:02 a.m.; Main Avenue, 2:35 p.m.; Spring Lake Road, 8:59 p.m.; Stonecrest Path, 9:24 p.m.
Fraud: A Tranquility Court resident called police at 3:11 p.m. to report an incident of fraud.
Burglary: Police responded at 5:50 p.m. following a report of burglary at a business on Trail of Dreams. A 49-year-old Burnsville man was arrested for felony second degree burglary and felony theft.
Suspicious Activity: A resident living on Lost Horizon Circle called police at 10:26 p.m. to report that a group of juvenile boys were going through the neighborhood ringing doorbells and knocking on doors. Police checked the area but could not find those who were responsible.
August 3
Hazard: A Candy Cove resident called police at 12:12 a.m. to report a transformer in the area was sparking and a power line was down due to a fallen tree branch. Xcel Energy was called and power was restored at 5:50 a.m.
Assist: A man who was located at a gas station on Duluth Avenue requested that police give him a ride to Mystic Lake Casino. The officer said they did not provide such services but offered to call the party a cab. The man refused and said he would walk instead.
Suspicious Activity: Police responded to a call received at 1:52 a.m. from a business located on Credit River Road after a report of a suspicious vehicle was received. Police found a man sleeping in the back seat of the vehicle and told him he needed to move.
Suspicious Activity: A resident living on Regal Pass called police at 4:30 a.m. to report they heard female voices. Officers checked the area but no one was found.
Assist: A Franklin Trail resident called police at 9:16 a.m. and reported hearing roosters in the area. Upon arrival, police searched the area but could find no birds and heard none.
Medical: Police assisted with the following medical calls that came in from these locations and times on this day: Windsor Lane, 10:24 a.m.; Cates Street, 10:33 a.m.; Green Heights Trail, 4:01 p.m.; Lilac Lane, 9:06 p.m.
Motor Vehicle: A report of a stolen vehicle was made at 12:33 p.m. from a party on Bluff Heights Trail. The case is pending processing.
August 4
Obstructing: A 29-year-old Prior Lake woman was arrested at 4:29 p.m. on Lilac Lane and charged with violation of a restraining order and obstructing legal process.
Warrant: A 56-year-old Prior Lake woman was arrested at 6:26 p.m. for a Scott County felony warrant for domestic assault.
Medical: Police were called at 6:46 p.m. to assist with a medical call involving at 21-year-old woman who had been stung by a bee. The incident occurred on Wilds View. Police also assisted with another medical call at 8:36 p.m. on Birchwood Avenue.
Suspicious Vehicle: Police responded to a report at 11:34 p.m. of a black truck driving around the Spring Lake Cemetery after normal posted hours. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate any vehicles.
August 5
Disturbance: Police were called to Mystic Lake Boulevard after of a woman refused to leave an Uber driver’s vehicle at 3:26 a.m. There was a verbal argument between the two parties after the Uber driver refused to transport. A new Uber ride was ordered and both parties departed without further incident.
Medical: Police were called to Fire Station No. 1 on Fish Point Road and Eagle Creek Avenue following a medical call received at 1:49 p.m. A woman had just given blood and tried to drive home. She passed out in the parking lot while driving, coasted into traffic and hit a curb. No damage was done to any cars. Police assisted on another medical call later that afternoon at 3:15 p.m. that involved a Franklin Trail resident.
